Dongducheon City Holds Communication Meetings with Parent Representatives of Elementary, Middle, and High Schools

Dongducheon City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Park Hyungdeok) announced on the 22nd that it held meetings with 46 parent representatives of elementary, middle, and high schools in the district at the seminar room on the 6th floor of Orbit Library over two days, on the 17th and 21st.

The purpose of these meetings was to listen directly to the voices of parents and exchange opinions on Dongducheon City's educational policies.


During the meetings, Dongducheon City introduced its educational support projects, reported on the main initiatives of the Dongducheon Education Advancement Special Zone pilot area, and presented plans to improve the educational environment. Parents shared a variety of opinions regarding school operations and education. In particular, policies to strengthen students' learning capabilities and the role of parents were emphasized.


After the meetings, the parents visited Orbit Library and the Media Center in sequence, where they listened to explanations about the facilities and operational programs, and spent meaningful time gaining various information.


Park Hyungdeok, mayor of Dongducheon, stated, "Dongducheon City will continue to make efforts so that schools, parents, and the local community can work together to provide a better educational environment for students."


These meetings served as an important opportunity to reflect the suggestions of parents, and Dongducheon City plans to further improve the educational environment for students through a variety of educational policies in the future.
