Barbecue Grills Without Metal Inspection Detected at Yesan Beer Festival
According to a report by Yonhap News on April 22, a partner company of The Born Korea will face administrative action for violating food-related regulations at the Yesan Beer Festival in Chungnam.
According to Yonhap News, a partner company of The Born Korea was found to have prepared and sold barbecue using barbecue grills that had not undergone metal inspection during the 2023 Yesan Beer Festival.
Cooking utensils made of metal must undergo metal inspection, as failure to do so may result in the release of harmful substances when heated. Therefore, this inspection is mandatory.
Yesan-gun plans to issue administrative actions, such as a corrective order, against the company involved for violating the Food Sanitation Act, possibly as early as this week.
The county also plans to report another company that manufactured the barbecue grills to the special judicial police for violating the Act on Labeling and Advertising of Foods, etc.
Meanwhile, Yesan-gun and The Born Korea jointly held the 'Yesan Beer Festival' in September 2023, utilizing local agricultural specialties. The event was met with a positive response, attracting 250,000 visitors over three days.
