President Sanghoon Bae and Director Bokcheol Song held a business agreement ceremony in the reception room of the main building at National Pukyong University that afternoon. They agreed to establish an industry-academia-government cooperation system to nurture youth talent who will settle in the region and to drive innovation in local industries.
The two institutions prepared this agreement to establish a close cooperative system for the promotion of the Glocal University 30 project and the RISE (Regional Innovation-led University Support System) project, and to create an ecosystem for fostering future talent led by the local community.
Through this agreement, National Pukyong University and the Busan Economic Promotion Agency will engage in: mutual exchange and cooperation of human and material resources; mutual support for various collaborative projects for community development; educational and research support, as well as joint curriculum development, to foster future talent and professionals; and cooperation in the exchange of industry-academia information and the hosting of academic conferences to expand the base of local industries.
Both institutions are committed to nurturing talent in connection with Busan’s local industries, and expect that this agreement will serve as a cooperative model that leads talent development linked to government policy, youth employment, and balanced regional development.
