Gyeonggi Province Dispatches Electric and Electronics Trade Delegation to North and Central America... Facilitates $4.37 Million in Contracts

Gyeonggi Province dispatched a trade promotion delegation for the electric and electronics sector to North and Central America, achieving 101 consultations and facilitating contracts worth a total of $4.37 million.


On April 22, Gyeonggi Province announced that, together with 10 local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) specializing in electric and electronic exports seeking to enter the North and Central American markets, it held one-on-one business meetings in Mexico City, Mexico on April 16 and in Los Angeles, USA on April 18, conducting business consultations with 62 buyers.

As a result of the consultations, in Mexico City, 65 meetings led to export consultations worth $3.19 million, with contracts worth $1.23 million being pursued. In Los Angeles, 36 consultations resulted in export discussions totaling $4.84 million, with $3.14 million in contracts being facilitated.


Park Kyungseo, Director of International Trade at Gyeonggi Province, stated, "Through the dispatch of this electric and electronics trade promotion delegation to North and Central America, we have once again confirmed Korea's global competitiveness in the electric and electronics sector," adding, "We hope the participation of small and medium-sized enterprises in the trade promotion delegation will help open up new markets in North and Central America."


Meanwhile, Gyeonggi Province plans to dispatch trade promotion delegations to a variety of global markets, including Saudi Arabia, China, and Vietnam, to diversify export opportunities for SMEs.
