These participants discussed international strategies for urban and industrial development.
Immediately after his arrival, Mayor Lee set out to 'pioneer overseas markets' by meeting with executives from leading Vietnamese companies and key figures from the political and business sectors of both Korea and Vietnam. He sought to expand trade exchanges between Hanam City and Vietnam, as well as to create new business opportunities for companies based in Hanam City to enter the Vietnamese market.
On the second day, he participated in the morning session of 'CICON Vietnam 2025' and delivered a presentation on 'Smart Green City Hanam.' He highlighted Hanam City's development process, which transformed the city's stagnant flow through 'enhanced citizen communication' and 'administrative innovation.' He also emphasized the city's high residential satisfaction and quality of life achieved through the expansion of cultural and leisure infrastructure and the provision of high-quality administrative services.
Additionally, he introduced Hanam City's key development projects, such as K-Star World and the self-sufficient land in Gyosan New Town, which are part of the city's future strategic initiatives. In particular, K-Star World attracted significant interest from companies and investors, including Singaporean capital firms.
For the final part of the schedule, he participated in sessions related to advanced industries such as drones, smart mobility, and AI, where he explored global industrial trends. He plans to utilize outstanding ideas from these sessions to attract industries to Hanam City, create jobs, and revitalize the local economy through new policy initiatives.
Mayor Lee stated, "To further solidify Hanam City's self-sufficiency, we must seek answers not only domestically but also through on-site experiences abroad. I will continue to visit any place with investment potential and pursue global field-centered administration to accelerate investment attraction."
