More than 20 million people in South Korea use delivery applications (apps), but not everyone finds them easy to use. Older adults, people with disabilities, and others who are less familiar with digital devices often encounter difficulties when trying to order food delivery on their own. What they need is an "Easy Delivery App Usage Guide." This guide is designed to help those who struggle with using delivery apps. According to statistics, more than 100,000 people have viewed this content created by Baemin to make delivery apps more accessible for information-vulnerable groups.

According to Woowa Brothers on April 22, the "Easy Delivery App Usage Guide" booklet, which has been distributed as part of Baemin's "Accessibility Enhancement" project since 2021, has reached 18,500 copies. These were delivered to over 400 institutions nationwide, including organizations for people with developmental disabilities, independent living homes, and senior welfare facilities. In addition to the booklet, a PDF file for use at various welfare sites has been downloaded about 1,000 times. In 2023, the guide was also made available as a webpage, which recorded approximately 57,000 users and 85,000 page views. In total, about 100,000 people have learned how to use delivery apps through this project, both online and offline.

The "Easy Delivery App Usage Guide," developed in collaboration with the social enterprise Soso Communication, explains every step from app installation and account registration to ordering and payment, using actual app screen images and easy-to-understand language. The focus is on making it simple for anyone unfamiliar with delivery apps to follow each step. For example, the guide provides detailed explanations of features like "family account," which allows a family representative to handle payments?a process that is often the most challenging for information-vulnerable users.

Baemin launched this project after surveys among people with developmental disabilities, their families, and welfare workers identified delivery app usage guidance as the most needed information. Since releasing the first version, Baemin has provided updated editions every year. The latest version covers everything from basic delivery app usage to terminology and various features, all explained with simple language and illustrations. Last year, in addition to providing the guidebook, Baemin also offered offline training sessions for information-vulnerable groups to experience using delivery apps firsthand. Through about 200 training sessions, approximately 1,500 people with developmental disabilities and seniors learned how to use delivery apps.

A Baemin representative stated, "We plan to continue various activities such as app updates and educational programs so that everyone can use delivery apps conveniently," adding, "Going forward, we will promote the Easy Delivery App Usage Guide through the highly accessible webpage."
