Dongdaemun District to Host "Warm Companionship Festival" for Disabled Persons Day

Dongdaemun District (District Mayor Lee Pilhyung) will host the "2025 Warm Companionship Festival" on April 25, in celebration of Disabled Persons Day. The event will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Sky Plaza on the third floor of Cheongnyangni Station.

This event, where people with and without disabilities come together, will feature a variety of programs, including a talent show and recreational activities, a magic bubble show, the Cheongnyang Runway, a photo wall, congratulatory performances, as well as experience and food booths.

In particular, the "Cheongnyang Runway," where models with developmental disabilities will take the stage themselves, and a congratulatory performance by singer and actor Hyunwoo, are expected to light up Cheongnyangni Station. The runway will be directed by Lee Eunmi, head of the Department of Modeling at Seoul Institute of the Arts.

Additionally, with sponsorship from KB Kookmin Bank, the "Warm Meal, Step of the Heart" program will provide meals to 120 households with disabled family members.

District Mayor Lee Pilhyung stated, "I hope this will be a warm festival where everyone can come together without prejudice and walk together with their hearts."

The "Warm Companionship Festival," which aims to improve awareness of disabilities, was planned by the Event Organizing Committee, consisting of 13 local organizations for people with disabilities, including Earth Power Plant, Studio Blossom, the Department of Modeling at Seoul Institute of the Arts, Howl Association, the Association of Social Service Professionals, and Saenal Dongdaemun Independent Living Center.

KB Kookmin Bank will participate as the main sponsor, alongside supporting companies such as the standard workplace for people with disabilities OLMO, as well as Sallida, Dinto, Age20's, Maybena, Maison Perrier, Louis Lesions, Youngshin Livestock, Elite Electronics, and Ttaseune.
