In the Democratic Party of Korea's primary vote for the selection of its 21st presidential election candidate in the Yeongnam region, former party leader Lee Jae Myung recorded a vote share in the 90% range.

According to the results of the Yeongnam regional vote announced by the Democratic Party on the 20th, Lee received a total of 90.81% of the votes, defeating former South Gyeongsang Province Governor Kim Kyung Soo (5.93%) and Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong Yeon (3.26%).
Lee's vote share among dues-paying party members was 91.10%, while his vote share among national delegates was 81.69%. Although former Governor Kim Kyung Soo performed relatively well in the national delegate vote with 14.66%, he could not overcome the overwhelming support for Lee among the dues-paying party members.
Lee reaffirmed his dominance by ranking first for two consecutive days, following his 88.15% vote share in the Chungcheong region primary the previous day.
A total of 73,255 people participated in the Democratic Party's Yeongnam regional primary, resulting in a turnout of 70.88%.
