Gwangju City announced on the 19th that it held the 'Audit Officers Workshop' over two days from the 17th to the 18th at the Talent Education Center and other locations, with about 150 participants responsible for integrity and audit tasks from the city, district offices, fire headquarters, and affiliated organizations.
The workshop was organized to strengthen the practical capabilities of those in charge of audit and integrity tasks, and to enhance collaboration among institutions. On the first day, lawyer Park Eulmi (an integrity instructor registered with the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission) led a case-based integrity training session. Other sessions included a special lecture on improving work efficiency using artificial intelligence (AI), sharing the latest audit trends, and discussing frequently cited audit cases. On the second day, Kim Sujong, Audit Committee Chair of Daegu City, provided practical training on audit report writing and Q&A techniques.
The city expects the workshop to raise anti-corruption and integrity awareness, improve the capabilities of audit practitioners, increase work efficiency, and establish a communication and collaboration system among audit agencies.
Audit Committee Chair Lim Taehyung said, "This workshop has become a venue for communication to proactively respond to the changing audit environment and to establish highly effective internal controls," adding, "We will use this as an opportunity to lead a culture of integrity in public service."
