Collaboration with Renowned Local Artists
Presenting New Stories
Gyeongbuk Province, Yeongcheon City, and Gyeongbuk Technopark are hosting a special exhibition as part of the Kumho Neighbor Village development project.
This exhibition, held at Hwarang Seolhwa Village in Kumho-eup, Yeongcheon City from April 15 to June 29, is themed "KumhoON: Shine Again." It aims to present the diverse stories of the Kumho region from a new perspective through sophisticated artworks created collaboratively by local and renowned artists.
"KumhoON: Shine Again" is divided into two parts. The first part, running from April 15 to May 14, features works by Lee Anminji, known for her unique artistic world, and Jang Saerok, whose delicate techniques stand out.
The second part, from May 18 to June 29, will showcase pieces by Ryu Sisuk, who conveys profound contemplation in her works, and Kim Seonkyung, who presents an original artistic language.
During the exhibition, visitors can participate in "Meet the Artist" programs, which offer opportunities to communicate directly with the artists and deepen their understanding of the works, as well as art classes (hands-on programs) to experience art firsthand.
The art classes operate on a reservation basis, and registration opportunities are provided through a VIP ticket event. Detailed information about the exhibition and art classes can be found on the Kumho Neighbor Village website.
Ha Inseong, President of Gyeongbuk Technopark, stated, "The Kumho Neighbor Village Exhibition is not just an art event, but a sustainable platform created together by local culture, creators, and residents. We will continue to provide diverse opportunities to ensure this."
