The Chungnam Office of Education announced that on the afternoon of April 18, it held a "Human Rights Learning Session Through Play" for approximately 30 elementary school teachers from the province at the Goma Hall of Gongju Art Center, aiming to provide more effective human rights education.
During this session, participants directly learned and experienced a variety of activities that can be used in the classroom with students, including "Airplane and Control Tower," "Standing in a Line," "Human Knot," "Collaborative Drawing," and "Emotion Mirror."
Through these various games, the session provided an opportunity to approach the right to play from a human rights perspective and to explore the values of communication and consideration.
Kwon Seontak, Director of the Department of Democratic Citizenship Education at the Chungnam Office of Education, stated, "I hope this human rights learning session has contributed to enhancing teachers' capacity for human rights education," and added, "We will continue to develop and distribute a variety of educational materials tailored to students' perspectives and strive to realize human rights education that is based on practice and experience."
