Developing Digital Teaching and Learning Competencies for Student-Centered Classes
The Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education Research Information Center (Director Lee Sunghwan) will conduct the 'Teacher Edutech Utilization Job Training' at the Education Research Information Center from April 22 to May 29. The program targets 250 teachers from kindergartens, elementary, middle, high, and special schools in the Busan area who wish to participate.
This training has been organized to enhance teachers' digital teaching and learning competencies for student-centered classes based on edutech.
The training will focus on edutech tools that are highly applicable in school settings. The program consists of practice-oriented sessions, including 'Smart Classes with Google,' 'Creating Educational Content Using Canva,' 'Future Career Education Using Webtoons,' 'AI Fairy Tale Book Publishing Project,' and 'Content Creation Using Book Creator.'
Busan Education Research Information Center will operate this training in a newly established dedicated classroom this year. By effectively incorporating the latest edutech technologies, including generative AI, into the training, and by providing opportunities to practice with various digital tools and teaching-learning content, the center expects to enhance the educational effectiveness of the program.
Lee Sunghwan, Director of the Education Research Information Center, stated, "This training will improve the quality of classes and promote the transition to student-centered learning by strengthening teachers' digital competencies," and added, "We will continue to focus our efforts on enhancing teachers' capabilities in the future."
