Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry Holds 46th "Lee Yura Exhibition" at Chamber Gallery

Exhibition Open to the Public Until June 30

The Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Gyeongnam held the 46th Invitational Exhibition, "Lee Yura Exhibition," at the Chamber Gallery.

The exhibition, held at the Chamber Gallery?a space established to promote the exchange of local art and culture?was attended by Chairman Choi Jaeho and other executives of the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Park Geumsook, Director of the Provincial Art Museum, Kim Sasook, Director of Seongsan Art Hall, and Jang Sunja, President of the Changwon Art Association, among others, who added significance to the event.

At the exhibition held on April 17, artist Lee Yura presented works that visualized her own space of rest, or so-called "utopia," using various images found in nature as a medium.

The artist views the anxiety experienced amid unexpected changes?something all humans face?as an essential emotion, and incorporates "nature" into her works as a sanctuary that can soothe such anxiety. Through symbolic natural elements such as forests, ice, and fish, the artist's inner landscape is revealed, offering visitors an imaginative space where they can escape from daily life and find peace of mind.

In particular, the use of black and white throughout the works symbolically expresses the duality of contrasting emotions?anxiety and freedom?providing viewers with an opportunity to envision their own utopia. The exhibition is open to the public and will run until June 30.

Meanwhile, the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry provides local artists with free exhibition space through the "Chamber Gallery" located in the first-floor lobby, which also serves as a comfortable cultural retreat for visitors.
