The city aims to discover content containing unique local stories and to revitalize the cultural content industry through this event.

The contest themes include Donghak, as well as culture, history, and people related to Jeongeup. Any Korean national can participate individually.

Entries can be submitted via email until June 30, and participants must submit a completed webtoon with at least 50 cuts (JPG file, width 760px, resolution at least 300dpi). For more details, refer to the city hall website or contact the Jeongeup City Department of Culture and Arts.

Works will be evaluated by experts based on theme relevance, creativity, message delivery, and completeness, and a total of nine entries will be selected. The grand prize winner will receive a cash award of 5 million KRW. The winning works will later be used as promotional content for Jeongeup City.

Mayor Lee Haksoo said, "Jeongeup is rich in historical, cultural, and natural resources, including the Donghak Peasant Revolution, the Baekje-era song Jeongeupsa, and the autumn foliage of Naejangsan Mountain. Through this contest, I hope Jeongeup's hidden stories will be rediscovered through webtoons, a young and familiar medium."
