Interest Subsidy of Up to 200 Million KRW for Loans

Chungnam Province to Recruit Additional Outstanding Fisheries Business Managers Chungnam Provincial Government Office Building View

The Chungnam Fisheries Resources Research Institute announced on the 18th that it will be accepting additional applications for 'Outstanding Managers' who will lead the local fisheries industry until July 14.

This recruitment is part of a fisheries management development project aimed at supporting young and middle-aged individuals who are willing to engage in the fisheries industry by helping them establish a business foundation and achieve independent management.

Initially, only one person was allocated for Chungnam, but due to a lack of applicants in other regions, additional selections will be made.

Eligible applicants are successors in the fisheries industry under the age of 60 who have at least five years of experience in fisheries, or those recognized as new knowledge holders in marine and fisheries. However, those who have recently had their fishing licenses revoked or have been suspended from fishing are excluded.

Selected outstanding managers will receive interest support for loans (up to 200 million KRW, 1% annual interest rate, 5-year grace period, 10-year repayment) to purchase equipment and facilities related to fisheries.

Applications can be submitted in person at the local Fisheries Management Division or the Taean Office. More details are available on the websites of Chungnam Provincial Government and the Fisheries Resources Research Institute.

Jang Mingyu, Director of the Fisheries Resources Research Institute, said, "We will actively work to nurture outstanding talent even in the face of the crisis of fishing village extinction and the decline of fisheries workforce."
