At around 11:20 PM on the 17th, an accident occurred at the northern railroad crossing near Seobinggo Station in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, where a KTX train collided with a passenger car.
According to the fire department on the 18th, the driver of the passenger car misunderstood the signal given by the crossing guard and attempted to cross the railroad crossing, resulting in a collision with the passing train. The front part of the passenger car was damaged in the accident, but there were no casualties. The train involved in the accident resumed operation at around 11:42 PM, about 20 minutes after inspection. Due to the accident, four electric trains were delayed by approximately 10 to 26 minutes. The police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident with the driver.
