Delivery of Emergency Relief Supplies Worth About 10 Million Won... Supporting the Recovery of Daily Life for Affected Residents
520 District Office Employees Raise 40 Million Won Through Voluntary Fundraising
Mayor Choi Ho-kwon: "I Hope Our Small Sincerity Helps Residents Return to Daily Life Quickly"
Yeongdeungpo-gu (District Mayor Choi Ho-kwon) announced that it has delivered emergency relief supplies and donations voluntarily collected by employees to the affected areas to help residents affected by the large-scale wildfires.
On March 28, district office employees visited the wildfire-affected Gyeongsangbuk-do region in person and delivered hygiene and daily necessities worth about 10 million won, including socks, underwear, and body wash, to the site. The relief supplies were mainly composed of practical items to help the affected residents recover their daily lives as quickly as possible.
In addition, 520 employees participated in a voluntary donation campaign held over two weeks, raising a total of about 40 million won. The collected donations were fully delivered to support the livelihood stabilization and recovery of the affected residents in the Yeongnam region. The employees' voluntary participation led to warm solidarity toward neighbors, and the district plans to further strengthen interregional cooperation and win-win administration in the future.
Choi Ho-kwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo-gu, said, "I extend my deepest condolences to the residents who lost their daily lives due to the unexpected disaster," and added, "I hope that the small but sincere efforts of Yeongdeungpo-gu will help the affected residents recover their daily lives quickly."
