Busan Office of Education to Operate Mobile National Sports Festival Experience Class

Creating Excitement for the National Sports Festival and Exploring Educational Value
Providing Sports Experience Opportunities and Enhancing School Sports Programs

The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Seokjun) will operate the 2025 National Sports Festival On-site Sports Experience (Meeting) Class starting this month.

This initiative aims to create an enthusiastic atmosphere for the 106th National Sports Festival scheduled for October this year and to provide students with diverse opportunities to experience various sports.

The sports experience classes will be offered from April to September for elementary and middle schools that wish to participate, covering National Sports Festival events such as wrestling, aerobics, rowing, gymnastics, track and field, hockey, roller sports, Ssireum, archery, Wushu, basketball, and more.

Through this program, it is expected to explore the educational value embedded in the National Sports Festival and contribute to enhancing the quality of school sports programs.

To encourage students to learn with interest, the program will provide hands-on and participatory activities as well as customized education tailored to different levels, helping students realize their dreams and talents while fostering character education based on respect and consideration.

Specialized instructors for each sport will visit the participating schools to conduct collaborative classes with physical education teachers and support tailored sports experience opportunities for each school.

Superintendent Kim Seokjun stated, "By operating the 2025 National Sports Festival On-site Sports Experience (Meeting) Class, we will provide students with a variety of experiences and help build excitement for the National Sports Festival, which is being held in Busan for the first time in 25 years, while also contributing to the enhancement of school sports. I ask for continued efforts to diversify Busan's school sports programs and ensure the successful hosting of the 106th National Sports Festival."
