On the 16th, Gochang-gun in Jeollabuk-do conducted a joint safety inspection of daycare center school buses in the first half of 2025.
This inspection was carried out with the participation of Gochang-gun Office, Gochang Police Station, and Korea Transportation Safety Authority, targeting a total of 26 daycare center buses currently in operation.
The main inspection items included: ▲ whether the children's school buses were properly registered ▲ whether comprehensive insurance was in place ▲ whether safety education had been conducted ▲ whether safety devices were installed, with a focus on essential factors for children's safety.
Minor issues that could be corrected on the spot were addressed immediately, and items requiring further improvement were instructed to be supplemented by the respective daycare centers by the end of this month.
An official from the county said, "We will continue to cooperate with relevant agencies to ensure that children can commute more safely," adding, "We will do our best to prevent safety accidents through regular inspections and guidance activities in the future."
Meanwhile, the county is also planning additional inspections in the second half of the year and will continue management and education for institutions operating school buses.
