Operation of AI Welfare Counselor 'Siheung BokjiON' Begins
Easily Accessible for Digitally Vulnerable Groups
Siheung City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it will officially operate 'Siheung BokjiON (溫/ON)', an AI-based customized welfare information service, starting from the 17th.
'Siheung BokjiON' provides 24-hour customized information through AI when users input questions, based on the vast welfare information posted on the city’s website. By using the service, users can quickly check the necessary information with just one question without having to search welfare information individually.
To ensure easy use for digitally vulnerable groups such as the elderly, voice Q&A is available in the mobile environment, and answers are provided in a summarized form for easy understanding. The answers also include source links to help users access reliable information, and the AI suggests related questions to the user’s query to help confirm information that might otherwise be missed.
To use the service, simply click on 'Go to Siheung BokjiON' on the city’s homepage. The city also uploaded an introduction video of the service on its official YouTube channel to help more citizens easily understand and utilize the service.
Kang Hee-tak, head of the Information and Communication Division of Siheung City, said, "We will continue to develop the service into a smarter and warmer one by reflecting the voices of citizens."
