Busan Transportation Corporation (President Lee Byungjin) announced on the 17th that it has donated 23.87 million KRW to the Korean Red Cross to support the swift recovery and restoration of daily life for residents in regions such as Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, and Ulsan, who were affected by large-scale wildfires.
This donation was raised through a voluntary fundraising campaign participated in by the corporation's executives and employees over three weeks, aiming to provide practical assistance to wildfire victims who suffered significant damage.
Lee Byungjin, President of Busan Transportation Corporation, stated, "I would like to express my deepest condolences and sympathy to the victims and bereaved families who have lost their homes due to this unexpected natural disaster," and added, "The corporation will continue to practice warm sharing and social contribution activities for the local community and the nation."
In celebration of the Lunar New Year, Busan Transportation Corporation delivered daily necessities to elderly people living alone through the 'Beautiful Sharing Bundle' event. The corporation is also actively engaged in various social contribution activities, such as talent donation for 'Home Repair' for vulnerable households and educational donations for 'Career Experience' programs targeting children and adolescents.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the opening of the Busan Urban Railway, and to commemorate this milestone, the corporation is continuously promoting strategic activities for mutual growth with the local community.
