The purpose is to carry out preliminary inspections to minimize damage to residents caused by poor construction.

The inspection targets a total of 16 complexes, including 5 sites at the project approval stage and 11 sites currently under construction. The city plans to form an inspection team consisting of public officials and private experts to conduct on-site inspections from the 28th of this month to the 13th of next month.
The main inspection items include the construction status of common areas such as underground parking lots, the occurrence of waterproofing or cracks, review of construction drawings (waterproofing plans), and confirmation of completed construction sections. The city will
especially focus on the waterproofing finishing status of rooftop floors and corners, waterproofing construction of underground slabs, electrical and mechanical rooms, the adequacy of waterproofing plans, compliance with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's 'Waterproofing Design Guidelines for Underground Structures of Apartment Complexes,' the occurrence of structural cracks, and the appropriateness of construction.
Through the inspection, the city plans to share excellent construction cases with other construction sites within the jurisdiction.
Lee Sang-il, Mayor of Yongin City, said, "We will thoroughly inspect apartments being built in Yongin in advance so that citizens can move in with peace of mind."
