Chungnam Office of Education Holds Training for School Space Restructuring Project Managers

The Chungnam Provincial Office of Education held the "2025 School Space Restructuring Project Training Session for Managers and Stakeholders" on the 16th at the Curriculum Evaluation Information Center. The event was attended by more than 60 people, including vice principals, teachers in charge, administrative officers from schools participating in this year's space restructuring project, facility team leaders from local education support offices, and other related personnel.

During the training session, Dr. Park Sungcheol from the Korea Educational Development Institute gave a lecture on "The Concept and Practice of School Space Restructuring," and key information regarding the implementation of the 2025 space restructuring project was provided.

Participants had time for communication and discussion about future implementation plans together with architectural and educational planners who will be involved from the preliminary planning stage, members of the School Space Innovation On-site Support Group, local office representatives, and school officials.

The Chungnam Office of Education has selected eight schools as targets for the preliminary planning of the 2025 space restructuring project and plans to invest a total of 59 billion KRW to create new future-oriented school spaces.

In particular, starting from the 2025 project, the preliminary planning service will be commissioned collectively by the provincial office of education for the first time in the nation, aiming to reduce the workload of school staff and shorten the planning period, thereby enhancing the quality of preliminary planning.

Kim Jicheol, Superintendent of Chungnam Office of Education, stated, "Changes in school spaces are important for our students, who will lead changes as key members of future society," and added, "I hope that all members and stakeholders of the educational community will work together in communication and cooperation to ensure the successful implementation of the project."
