"A Country Where Lee Jae-myung Becomes President Is Terrifying"
Appealing to Mayor Oh Se-hoon: "Will Actively Embrace His Policies"
Na Kyung-won, a member of the People Power Party who declared her presidential candidacy, said on the 16th, "It seems that the people are very worried about former Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung becoming (president)," adding, "My getting into the drum barrel yesterday was also a reflection of public opinion."
After meeting with Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon at Seoul City Hall on the same day, Na told reporters, "The country where former leader Lee becomes president is terrifying."

Na explained, "If former leader Lee becomes president, it will be a 'drum barrel'; if Na Kyung-won becomes president, it will be a dream president who realizes your dreams, a 'dream barrel'."
Earlier, Na posted a photo on social media (SNS) of herself holding a sign that read, "I will not surrender even if I have to get into the drum barrel," while actually getting into a drum barrel.
Na said, "Many people are terrified by the reality where movies cannot be seen just as movies, and by 'drum barrel politics,'" adding, "I will correct this abnormal society where one must risk their life to raise their voice for the truth."
The Democratic Party’s False Information Monitoring Unit held an emergency press conference that day, stating, "(The image posted by candidate Na) is an act of spreading a malicious manipulated frame against a specific party candidate," and announced plans to file a complaint.
In response, Na posted again on Facebook, saying, "They are scratching me with the drum barrel and accusing me with false information. After impeaching the president through parliamentary dictatorship, are they even pretending to be an investigative agency with the Democratic Police Station?" adding, "We will strongly counter sue against the Democratic Party’s frequent politically motivated complaints."
Regarding some criticisms that she needs to settle her relationship with President Yoon Seok-youl to gain competitiveness in the People Power Party primary, Na said, "It is not appropriate to involve former President Yoon in the primary process," adding, "I think we should discuss through pledges and policies."
On the plan for an anti-Lee Jae-myung 'big tent' after the primary, she said, "Now is the time to focus on our party," explaining that "we should discuss policies and pledges on how to make Korea leap forward again, and it is not right to discuss what comes next after the primary."

Na sent a 'love call' to Mayor Oh, who declared he would not run for president.
Na said, "I read Mayor Oh’s book and agreed with the part about dividing the country into four metropolitan areas and creating four Singapores," adding, "It seems Mayor Oh also asked other candidates to implement policies that accompany the vulnerable, and I think Seoul’s 'Didimdol Income' has produced meaningful results."
She continued, "Although Mayor Oh is not running for president, I will actively adopt his policies as if he were running, and I will sincerely realize them with a mother’s heart," emphasizing her commitment.
