Support of 225 Million KRW in Four Areas Including Overseas Expansion and Marketing
Buk-gu, Gwangju is launching customized support to strengthen the competitiveness of local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). On the 16th, Buk-gu announced that it will invest a total of 225 million KRW in four areas?market expansion, online marketing, design development, and technology transfer?and is now recruiting participating companies.
The 'Market Expansion Voucher Support Project,' which helps companies enter overseas markets, will support up to 12 companies with export records of less than $20 million. The support covers up to two items, such as production of export promotional materials, participation in exhibitions, and obtaining certifications, with a maximum of 6 million KRW per company.
In line with the growing trend of online shopping and SNS utilization, the 'Online Marketing Support Project' will also be operated. This project helps drive consumer response and boost sales by having product testers use the actual products and post reviews on SNS. Up to 10 companies are eligible for this support.
The 'Design Development Support Project,' which aims to enhance corporate identity and brand value, focuses on developing CI and BI. It matches local design specialist companies one-on-one with participating businesses and provides up to 9 million KRW in support. Seven companies with headquarters or factories located in Buk-gu are eligible.
Additionally, the 'Technology Transfer Support Project' has been established to secure new growth engines by transferring technology from universities or research institutes. Eight companies with less than seven years of operation will be selected and supported with up to 5 million KRW from contract signing to commercialization consulting and completion of technology transfer.
After the completion of these projects, Buk-gu plans to conduct satisfaction surveys and gather feedback from participating companies to reflect in next year's projects.
Mayor Moon In stated, "The growth of SMEs is crucial to revitalize the stagnant local economy," adding, "We hope this customized support project will serve as a stepping stone for companies to become strong small giants."
