Huawei, Canadian Solar, and Others
Showcase Core Energy Technologies
The 22nd International Green Energy Expo, which has established itself as Asia's leading energy industry platform, will be held at EXCO in Daegu from the 23rd to the 25th. Having become the largest renewable energy exhibition in Korea and one of the top three in Asia, this year’s event will feature 300 companies from 26 countries, with over 1,100 booths.
Major global energy companies will participate, showcasing core technologies for the future energy industry such as solar, hydrogen, wind, and energy storage systems (ESS). Notably, eight of the world’s top ten solar cell and module companies and six inverter companies will be present, introducing high-efficiency cells, AI-based diagnostic technologies, and smart energy management solutions.
In the solar cell and solar panel sector, participants include Hanwha Qcells, Trina Solar, Jinko Solar, JA Solar, Canadian Solar, LONGi Solar, Risen Energy, and TW Solar.
Among domestic companies, HD Hyundai Energy Solutions will unveil ultra-low-carbon N-type modules and next-generation solar cells based on perovskite cells, while Shinsung ENG will present integrated solutions covering everything from solar module manufacturing to EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction). Ilgang E&I will introduce the first fully certified full-screen solar module in Korea.
In the solar inverter sector, global companies such as Huawei, SOLIS, GoodWe, Kstar, and Growatt will participate. SOLIS will showcase inverters optimized for high-output solar installations based on AI, while Kstar will present residential energy storage solutions. Hansol Technics, the first in Korea to receive KS BIPV certification, will unveil building-integrated modules targeting the building-display convergence market.
This year’s exhibition will also focus on hydrogen and related industries, which are emerging as next-generation energy resources. The 9th Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Forum (April 24) will mainly address the current status of hydrogen fuel cell technology and commercialization strategies. The 5th Hydrogen Market Insight (H2MI, April 25) will feature Korea East-West Power, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, Korea Electric Power Corporation, and the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) of Australia, sharing domestic and international hydrogen policies and corporate strategies.
This year’s event will also include a variety of concurrent programs. These include the Korean Institute of Chemical Engineers annual conference, nationwide training for public officials in charge of renewable energy deployment, one-on-one business export consultations, and new product and technology presentations.
Meanwhile, the PV Market Insight (PVMI) conference, specializing in solar energy, will feature the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Korea Institute of Energy Technology Evaluation and Planning, Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Development Corporation, UNDP, and (Japan) ISEP, presenting trends and policy outlooks for the domestic and global solar markets. In addition, organizations such as Korea RE100 Alliance, L&F, and Encored Technologies will explore corporate strategic responses to RE100.
Kim Kyusik, Executive Vice President of EXCO, stated, "This year's exhibition will go beyond simple product displays and policy promotion to serve as a platform for information sharing and exchange in the energy industry, covering carbon neutrality, supply chain response, and AI-powered solutions," adding, "It will be an opportunity to see the future strategies of Korea's energy industry at a glance."
