Three DOCG Wines Including "Duelame"
Interlicor announced on the 16th that it will newly launch three wines from 'Lamole di Lamole,' a representative winery in the Chianti Classico region of Italy.
Lamole di Lamole Winery is located in the Lamole area of Greve, in the northern part of the Chianti Classico region. The Lamole area is the smallest and highest altitude zone within Chianti Classico. Lamole di Lamole Winery owns six vineyards spanning 37 hectares and produces Sangiovese wines that capture the essence of Chianti Classico at high altitudes ranging from 420 to 655 meters above sea level.
Chianti Classico must contain at least 80% Sangiovese produced within the region, and to guarantee quality, the Black Rooster (Gallo Nero) emblem is embossed on the bottle neck to distinguish it from regular Chianti wines. Lamole di Lamole currently cultivates grapes using fully organic methods, and all wines from the winery have received vegan certification marks.
The wines introduced in Korea this time are three DOCG-grade wines: 'Duelame,' 'LaReale,' and 'Maggiolo.' Duelame is made from 100% Sangiovese grapes grown at various altitudes from 420m to 655m. It is an attractive wine with fresh fruit aromas of red berries and floral scents.
Maggiolo boasts a smooth texture with a blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. It harmonizes dark red fruit aromas such as blackberry and blueberry with subtle notes of chocolate and spices, pairing well with spiced dishes as well as Asian and South American cuisine. LaReale undergoes a minimum of two years of aging, offering a deeper and more complex flavor. Made from 100% Sangiovese, it features a harmonious blend of ripe red fruit, violet floral notes, and subtle nuances of balsamic and herbs.
Cha Hoon, CEO of Interlicor, said, "We are pleased to add Lamole di Lamole wines, which have recently gained great attention even in Chianti Classico, a representative Italian wine region, to our portfolio," and added, "Interlicor will continue to carefully select high-quality wines that clearly express the characteristics of each region to provide consumers with diverse choices."
