41% of Applicants from Outside Daegu-Gyeongbuk
Increasing Challenges for Local Youth Employment
Daegu Transportation Corporation, following Daegu City's decision to lift regional restrictions, has removed regional limitations from its new employee recruitment exam this year as well, just like last year, and accepted applications from the 7th to the 14th.
As a result of the application process, 4,441 people applied for 90 positions, resulting in an average competition rate of 49.3 to 1.
By recruitment category, 4,180 people applied for 66 general positions (average competition rate of 63.3 to 1), 95 people applied for 20 public service positions (average 4.7 to 1), 142 people applied for 2 security guard positions (average 71 to 1), and 24 people applied for 2 DRT Customer Center positions (average 12 to 1).
The number of applicants decreased compared to last year (5,111), but the competition rate for general positions increased by 171% compared to last year (37.1 to 1).
In particular, for the open competition in general office positions, 2,217 people applied for 11 positions, resulting in a competition rate of 201 to 1.
Applicants from outside the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region accounted for 41.2% (1,830 people) of the total, a slight increase of 2.4 percentage points compared to last year's 38.8%.
Daegu Transportation Corporation will conduct the written exam simultaneously at seven middle and high schools and universities in Daegu and Gyeongbuk on the 19th, and will announce the final successful candidates on May 30 after document screening, personality tests, and interviews.
