Expectations for Revitalizing Youth Work Experience
and Strengthening Industrial Site Safety Management
Dong-Eui University (President Han Suhwan) announced that on the 15th, it signed an industry safety public-private-academic cooperation agreement with Yuhan University, Korea National University of Transportation, and Wonkwang University, as well as Hyundai Motor Company, the Ministry of Employment and Labor, and the Industrial Safety Win-Win Foundation at Hyundai Motor Company's headquarters in Yangjae-dong, Seoul, to establish a sustainable safety ecosystem.

Through this agreement, participating universities, the government, corporations, and public foundations will jointly develop industrial safety education programs to enhance young people's practical skills and strengthen safety management systems for small and medium-sized enterprises, creating a win-win model.
Hyundai Motor Company plans to provide a practice-oriented educational environment and share its in-house safety management know-how to make a tangible contribution to improving the industrial safety capabilities of small and medium-sized enterprises.
The Industrial Safety Win-Win Foundation will lead professional personnel matching, mentoring, and the development of customized programs, as well as support project operations.
The Ministry of Employment and Labor will support system improvement and financial assistance to help local small and medium-sized enterprises enhance their industrial safety capabilities on site.
The participating universities?Dong-Eui University, Yuhan University, Korea National University of Transportation, and Wonkwang University?will continue to foster young industrial safety talent through regional industry-academia cooperation networks in the Gyeongsang, Seoul metropolitan, central, and Jeolla regions.
Notably, more than 75% of all participants are young people from non-metropolitan areas, aiming to bridge the educational gap between regions and achieve balanced placement of industrial safety talent.
The win-win industrial safety work experience project will run for about nine months from this month until December, providing participants with a monthly stipend of approximately 1 million KRW, certificates of completion, awards for outstanding participants, and various other incentives.
Any young person interested in the field of industrial safety and health can participate by applying through the cooperating universities in each region nationwide.
Han Suhwan, President of Dong-Eui University, stated, "I am pleased that opportunities for work experience at excellent companies are expanding for young people, who are the future of our society," and added, "I hope that young people will grow into true industrial leaders of our society by combining the knowledge they learn at university with practical workplace skills."
