Hampyeong County, Jeollanam-do, announced on the 15th that it has launched anti-corruption and integrity training for all public officials.
The 2025 first half anti-corruption and integrity training was held that morning at the Theme Video Hall of Hampyeong Expo Park, with over 300 county office officials in attendance.
The training was conducted by Dr. Jeong Hae-sook, a certified integrity education instructor from the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission. She focused her lecture on key anti-corruption laws such as the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act, the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act, the Public Interest Whistleblower Protection Act, and the Public Finance Recovery Act, as well as practical topics directly related to public officials, including the Code of Conduct and the eradication of abuse of power. The event also included tailored training for newly appointed and promoted officials in the first half of this year.
County Governor Lee Sangik said, "I hope this training serves as an opportunity for Hampyeong County officials to reaffirm their commitment to integrity," adding, "We will continue to promote integrity education to lead a county administration that earns the trust of our residents."
Meanwhile, the county provides integrity training three times a year for all employees to realize a 'Clean Hampyeong' trusted by residents.
