A Space Reborn Embracing Ecology, Scenery, and Safety
On the 15th, the Masanhappo-gu district of Changwon Special City, Gyeongsangnam-do, visited the construction site of the 'Sadong Village Bright and Safe Dike Flower Road Project' in Sadong Village, Jindong-myeon, to inspect the progress and discuss future plans.

This project was selected as part of the Gyeongsangnam-do Resident Participatory Budget and is being promoted in connection with last year's 'Colorful Jindong Dike Flower Road Project' on the opposite side of the stream, also funded by the Gyeongsangnam-do Resident Participatory Budget. The initiative will be expanded to cover the entire village. Notably, as a customized project proposed and decided directly by local residents, it is attracting attention as a model case of resident-led community improvement.
This year, the scope of maintenance will be expanded to the opposite section, officially launching efforts to improve the village's overall environment and pedestrian convenience. The main components of the project include ▲asphalt overlay ▲anti-slip pavement ▲installation of solar-powered LED lighting, all of which are expected to contribute not only to creating a pleasant village atmosphere but also to enhancing practical living convenience.
Park Dongjin, head of Masanhappo-gu, stated, "I hope this project will create synergy with last year's flower road, transforming the entire village into a safer and more beautiful space," and added, "We will continue to actively promote and support the resident participatory budget system so that it can be operated more effectively in the future."
