The household in Gogun-myeon selected on this day was a crime victim's family living under difficult circumstances with only government assistance and no particular income. The house was old and the interior environment was poor, making it hard to maintain basic hygiene. Comprehensive improvements were made, including wallpapering, flooring, replacing the kitchen sink, and organizing the living space, with a total value of approximately 10 million KRW.
The Jindo Rotary Club stated that, through the partnership with Jindo Police Station, they came to understand the hardships faced by crime victims such as those affected by domestic violence. The club expressed gratitude to the police station for providing an opportunity to serve and promised ongoing support for the socially disadvantaged.
Chief Lim Jinyoung said, "I am grateful to the Jindo Rotary Club and Jindo Baekjo Rotary Club for their economic and personal support and dedication to improving the residential environment of crime victims and other socially disadvantaged people. We will continue to work with the Jindo Rotary Club and other local organizations and groups to care for vulnerable members of our community and maintain cooperative policing for their recovery."
