Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon revisited the site of the Sinansan Line collapse accident in Gwangmyeong City on the 15th to inspect the rescue and accident response efforts, urging everyone to do their best in rescuing the missing persons.
At the site, Governor Kim said, "I met with the families of the missing persons and assured them that we will do our utmost to find the missing as quickly as possible," adding, "At the same time, since the site has not been fully secured yet, I also asked that the safety of the deployed personnel be prioritized."

He continued, "There are nearby apartments and an elementary school, and the initial safety inspection showed no abnormalities. The elementary school, which is closed until today, will undergo a detailed diagnosis, and the results will be available by 4 p.m. today," adding, "Based on the results, we will decide whether to resume normal school operations."
Earlier, on the afternoon of the 11th, an accident including road collapse occurred at the Sinansan Line double-track railway construction site in Iljik-dong, Gwangmyeong City. Two workers were either trapped or missing due to the accident, and one trapped worker was rescued on the morning of the 12th.
Governor Kim visited the accident site immediately upon returning from an urgent 4-day, 2-night trip to the United States for tariff negotiations on the 12th. At that time, he instructed to prioritize ▲rescue of the missing persons ▲ensuring the safety of rescue personnel ▲prevention of secondary damage caused by burst drainage pipes ▲conducting detailed safety inspections of nearby apartments and schools.
