Towed Back After Emergency Door Opened While Taxiing
An Air Seoul passenger plane preparing for takeoff at Jeju International Airport experienced a departure delay due to the emergency door being opened.
According to the aviation industry on the 15th, at around 8:05 a.m., the emergency door of Air Seoul flight RS902 was forcibly opened at Jeju Airport. It is reported that the door opened while the aircraft was moving along the taxiway toward the runway. The plane was scheduled to depart Jeju Airport at 8 a.m. and head to Gimpo Airport.
The emergency door was opened due to the disturbance caused by a female passenger. As a result, the emergency evacuation slide deployed, rendering the aircraft inoperable, and it was towed back to the parking area.
Air Seoul plans to conduct a comprehensive investigation regarding the incident.
