THE E&M announced on the 15th that it has signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with Monster Union, a comprehensive content production company, regarding the Cheongna Video Culture Complex Project.
The agreement aims to combine Monster Union's content planning and production capabilities with THE E&M's ongoing development of a global studio complex. The plan is to strengthen competitiveness in attracting domestic and international content and to promote the creation of an industry ecosystem centered on K-content.
Monster Union is a production company that produces various broadcast programs including dramas and entertainment shows. Its representative works include the dramas Yeonmo, Minamdang, Goryeo-Khitan War, and Let's Grab the Collar Once.
Through this agreement, the two companies plan to jointly explore entry into the global content market based on the know-how Monster Union has accumulated. They will also closely cooperate in various fields such as attracting content investment and sharing domestic and international networks.
In particular, practical collaboration will be promoted, including the operation of promotional and experience centers utilizing Monster Union's intellectual property (IP), and detailed lease discussions for a 'Monster Union Exclusive Hall' within the Cheongna Studio.
A representative from THE E&M stated, "Monster Union is a content company equipped with the production capabilities and planning skills of a leading domestic broadcaster," adding, "Through this agreement, we have established a stronger content foundation for the Cheongna project." They further added, "We will also accelerate collaboration with leading studios and production companies both domestically and internationally."
Previously, THE E&M received a letter of intent for investment from Hackman Capital Partners, a global studio investment and management firm. The company expects the Cheongna project to gain further momentum by actively collaborating with leading domestic content production companies.
