Reports indicate that former President Yoon was dressed comfortably in a navy padded jumper and sneakers. Five men, presumed to be his security team, surrounded him as they walked together. Among them was Kim Seong-hoon, the deputy head of security. He followed right behind former President Yoon while talking on the phone. It is presumed that Deputy Chief Kim, who is currently a suspect, is still closely accompanying former President Yoon.
Former President Yoon Seok-yeol, who was dismissed by the Constitutional Court's decision on the 4th, has lost most of the privileges accorded to former presidents, but under the "Act on the Protection of the President, etc.," he can receive security protection from the Presidential Security Service for up to 10 years. A dedicated security team of about 40 members has been formed, and a third-grade security chief has been appointed as the head of the security team.
Meanwhile, on the 14th at 10 AM, former President Yoon attended his first trial held in Courtroom 417 of the Seoul Court Complex, presided over by the Criminal Division 25 of the Seoul Central District Court (Chief Judge Ji Gwi-yeon). Due to safety concerns, the court permitted a closed attendance, so the public was not exposed to images of former President Yoon entering the courtroom. The court also prohibited photography and video recording inside the courtroom.
