Youngjin College Signs MOUs with 15 Daegu High Schools... Customized Employment Services Launched

Yeungjin College (President Choi Jaeyoung) is joining forces with 15 specialized and Meister high schools in Daegu to launch customized employment services for high school students. By establishing a pioneering support system for career and employment between universities and high schools, this collaborative model is drawing attention as a win-win partnership aimed at fostering the growth of local young talent.


Yeungjin College recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with 15 specialized and Meister high schools in Daegu in the university’s main conference hall to provide "2025 Customized Employment Services for High School Students."

The signing ceremony was attended by key university officials including President Choi Jaeyoung, Vice President for Academic Affairs Park Jongbaek, Director of Admissions Lee Jihoon, and Director of Student Welfare and Employment Park Hyojin, as well as around 30 representatives from the 15 participating high schools in Daegu, such as principals and heads of industry-academic cooperation, reaffirming their commitment to mutual collaboration.


This agreement was established to build an organic and continuous cooperation system between universities and high schools, enabling practical career planning and employment support from the high school stage. In particular, it reflects the local commitment to strengthening the region-based job ecosystem and contributing to youth employment expansion.


Under the agreement, Yeungjin College and the high schools have pledged to operate career exploration and career development programs, share vocational education and employment information, promote employment competency enhancement programs for high school students, and jointly cooperate to vitalize employment based on the local community.


The high schools participating in this agreement include Gyeongbuk Technical High School, Gyeongbuk Mechanical Technical High School, Gyeongbuk Girls’ Commercial High School, Gyeongsang Technical High School, Daegu Technical High School, Daegu Science and Technology High School, Daegu Tourism High School, Daegu Agricultural Meister High School, Daegu Semiconductor Meister High School, Daegu Health High School, Daegu Girls’ Commercial High School, Daegu Il Meister High School, Daegu Jeil Girls’ Commercial High School, Daegu High-Tech High School, and Daejung Metal High School.


President Choi Jaeyoung stated, "This agreement will provide a foundation for high school students to systematically plan their careers and develop practical employment skills," adding, "Yeungjin College will further strengthen its role as a youth employment platform and do its utmost to nurture young talent in cooperation with the local community."


With this agreement, Yeungjin College plans to operate various highly effective employment support programs for high school students, such as 'customized employment counseling,' 'career and employment linkage programs,' 'practical training focused on job experience,' and 'employment camps.'


This agreement is evaluated not as a one-time event, but as the starting point for building a practical and sustainable career and employment support system that connects high school students with local industries.
