20 Sessions Until August 26
For 30 Local Farmers
Iksan City in North Jeolla Province is conducting an 'Agricultural Product Processing Startup Training' program to strengthen the entrepreneurial capabilities of local farmers and promote the transition to a high value-added agricultural structure.
According to the city on the 14th, this training will be held a total of 20 times until August 26, with each session lasting 4 hours. It will be operated for 30 local farmers interested in agricultural product processing, combining practical exercises and theoretical lectures.
In addition, those who complete the training (with an attendance rate of 75% or higher) will be given opportunities to create prototypes and start businesses using the Iksan City Agricultural Product Comprehensive Processing Center after registering for distribution or specialized sales business.
The curriculum covers the entire startup process with a practical focus, including: ▲Principles of agricultural product processing ▲Development of processed products ▲Startup procedures ▲HACCP operation ▲Food safety and related regulations ▲Basic taxation and business management ▲SNS marketing strategies ▲Processing practice, among others.
The Iksan City Agricultural Product Comprehensive Processing Center, which is linked to the training upon completion, is a HACCP-certified production facility established in 2019. It serves as a startup incubation space that comprehensively supports local farmers from product production to quality control and promotion.
The city assigns dedicated personnel for startups and provides close support for equipment usage, administrative procedures, and self-quality inspections to reduce the initial burden on prospective entrepreneurs and help them settle stably.
A city official said, "We hope that farmers who were interested in agricultural product processing startups but hesitated due to lack of information or complicated procedures will gain startup opportunities through this training," and added, "We will continue to expand practical startup support policies to actively encourage the creation of off-farm income."
