The Yeongju Cultural Tourism Foundation in North Gyeongsang Province has been finally selected as the operating institution for the "2025 Lifestyle-Oriented Arts and Culture Education Support Project, Gaga Hoho," hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korea Arts & Culture Education Service.

This project was newly established this year to strengthen emotional communication among family members and promote a healthy leisure culture, as various family types have emerged due to social changes such as low birth rates, aging population, and nuclear individualization.

As part of this project, the foundation will run a promotional program linked to the Sobaeksan Royal Azalea Festival, titled "Our Sobaek, Our Family's 100 Simple Happinesses." This program is themed around "Family Happiness" and includes one-day experiential activities and a participatory message wall for visiting families.

In addition, starting in June, the foundation plans to operate eight programs across four fields (art, photography, literature, and music) for various family types, including children and parents, couples, and multicultural families. Major programs include creative arts education initiatives such as "Saturday Pop Art" and "Back to the Newlywed Diary," which are designed to strengthen intergenerational bonds.

This project is expected to contribute to improving low family relationship satisfaction by enhancing family relationships among local residents and rediscovering the meaning of family. Recruitment of program participants will begin sequentially from June, and further details can be obtained by contacting the foundation's Culture and Arts Team.

Acting Chairman Lee Jaehun of the foundation said, "It is very meaningful to be able to provide diverse arts and culture education in the region," adding, "We will continue to work hard to foster family bonds and establish a healthy family leisure culture."
