Damyang County, South Jeolla Province (Governor: Jeong Cheolwon), announced on the 14th that it recently carried out the 'Visiting Health Keeper Program for the Disabled' at Hyerim Welfare Center (Director: Lee Byungyong) for people with disabilities using welfare facilities.

This initiative, conducted in collaboration with the 'Jeonnam-do Health Bus,' aims to guarantee the right to health for people with disabilities who have difficulty moving or have limited access to medical care.

At the site, 16 participants including Suncheon Medical Center, Damyang County Public Health Center, and the Korea Association for the Physically Disabled provided medical, dental, and Korean medicine consultations, as well as free repair services for assistive devices and operated a food truck, receiving positive responses from senior citizens.

An official from the county stated, "We will strive to ensure that people with disabilities with limited access to medical care can receive quality medical services, thereby realizing a healthy and happy life for people with disabilities."
