Commemorative Videos and Online Tributes Together
To mark the 11th anniversary of the Sewol Ferry disaster, the Gwangju Eastern and Western Education Support Offices are holding a memorial week.

On the 14th, the Eastern Education Support Office held a memorial event at its headquarters with all employees in attendance.
Led by Superintendent Lee Myungsook, staff members placed yellow pinwheels and ribbons in the building's flower beds, taking time to honor the victims and reaffirm their commitment to a safer society. Until the 18th, activities such as wearing memorial ribbon badges, leaving messages in the online memorial hall, and broadcasting Sewol Ferry tribute videos will continue.

On the same day, the Western Education Support Office also installed yellow pinwheels in the flower beds in front of its main building, and all employees watched a commemorative video together to reflect on the tragedy. Superintendent Lee Sungcheol said, "Every April, my heart aches," adding, "We will do our best to remember the students and teachers who were lost and to ensure that children can grow up safely."
