For firefighters, who require strong physical stamina and quick judgment at various disaster sites, physical fitness is directly linked to survival. This fitness test is an important evaluation process for all physically healthy firefighters, including staff from the Fire Department, the 15 fire stations in the province, and the 119 Safety Experience Center.

The physical fitness test consists of a total of six events: grip strength, back strength, sit-ups, standing long jump, left and right grip strength, and 20-meter shuttle run. It comprehensively evaluates balance, basic fitness, muscular endurance, and cardiorespiratory endurance. The results will be used as basic data to improve employees' fitness and serve as an important standard for fitness management and job suitability.

During the fitness test period, the Fire Department will ensure that all participants can safely demonstrate their abilities by thoroughly encouraging warm-up exercises, deploying safety personnel on-site, and keeping an ambulance on standby at all times to prepare for emergencies, thus thoroughly preventing injuries through systematic safety management.

Lee Osook, head of the Jeonbuk Fire Department, stated, "The firefighter physical fitness test is not simply for individual fitness improvement, but to ensure that firefighters, as public servants, can demonstrate strong physical strength for citizens in their most critical moments. We will continue to focus on fostering firefighters with strong physical fitness and field response capabilities, and will not cease our efforts to protect the lives and safety of the residents."
