As the importance and interest in preparing for old age increase due to extended average life expectancy, the Life Insurance Social Contribution Committee (Co-Chairs: Kim Cheol-ju, Chairman of the Life Insurance Association, and Lee Bong-ju, Professor Emeritus at Kyung Hee University) is conducting the "2025 Awareness Enhancement Education for Old Age Preparation" with the goal of a happy 30 years of old age for all citizens (Happy Tomorrow 30).

This education, hosted by the Life Insurance Social Contribution Committee (hereinafter referred to as the Committee) and supported by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, aims to provide comprehensive financial and non-financial solutions so that Korean citizens can prepare for old age in advance without social and economic difficulties, based on the fundamental spirit of life insurance?respect for life and mutual aid.

On April 8, the Committee held a launch ceremony for the "2025 Awareness Enhancement Education Project for Old Age Preparation" at the Life Insurance Education and Culture Center located in Gwanghwamun, appointing a specialized team of instructors focused on retirement and old age preparation and announcing the project implementation plan, together with the education specialist organization Dream Up Consulting, the main organizer.

In preparation for a super-aged society and the era of 100-year lifespans, the program clarifies necessary concepts for old age preparation such as finance, health, relationships, and leisure activities, and presents concrete action plans including ▲ hidden risk factors in longevity ▲ portfolios for securing retirement funds ▲ methods to prepare for risks encountered in life.

Notably, the program is available to all age groups including those in their 20s (including university students), 30s to 40s, and 50s and above. It offers differentiated curricula considering the characteristics of specific groups such as retirees, women, military personnel and public officials, and irregular workers, and primarily conducts free lectures by visiting companies, institutions, and organizations directly.

Additionally, upon request from participants, the program provides supplementary in-depth financial consulting, produces video content addressing retirement preparation issues, and operates programs such as the "Youth MBTI" that diagnose types of old age preparation.

Since its inception in 2012, the Committee’s education program has engaged over 109,000 trainees as of last year, and plans to educate more than 7,000 people nationwide by the end of this year. Inquiries and applications can be made through the official website of the "2025 Awareness Enhancement Education for Old Age Preparation (Happy Tomorrow 30)".
