First Store Launched in Cheongdam-dong
On the 14th, M's Seed, a foodservice company affiliated with Maeil Dairies, announced the launch of 'Shabu Sikdang Sangha,' a pork shabu-shabu specialty restaurant.
Shabu Sikdang Sangha is a brand that incorporates the heritage of Sangha Farm located in Gochang, and opened its first store in Cheongdam-dong. It uses seasonal vegetables and premium Berkshire K pork, and the broth is made solely from shiitake mushrooms and kelp, creating a healthy flavor without being overpowering.
In addition to shabu-shabu, various side dishes are also offered. These include shrimp patties made by mincing fresh shrimp with assorted vegetables, Sangha Jinshim (眞心) egg salad topped with Sangha Farm bacon made with Sangha Farm free-range eggs, and grilled sausages made at Sangha Farm's ham workshop, among other diverse menu items.
Products crafted by artisans at Sangha Farm's workshop are also sold. Notably, the baby melon jangajji served as a side dish at Shabu Sikdang Sangha is made by purchasing surplus agricultural products generated during the cultivation of Gochang's specialty melons from nearby farms and fermenting them in the fermentation workshop.
A representative from M's Seed stated, "We wanted to offer food that can provide healing to consumers tired of spicy dishes, and it will also be a good dining option for those following the recently trending anti-aging diet." They added, "Going forward, we will demonstrate the sincerity and philosophy, craftsmanship, and values of coexistence that Sangha Farm has upheld regarding healthy food."
