The Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Governor Kim Jin-tae) and the Gangwon Tourism Foundation announced on the 14th that they have attracted about 300 group tourists through the spring charter flight from Yangyang to the Philippines (Manila) during the Easter holiday, the largest holiday in the Philippines. They will visit the province through Yangyang International Airport in three sessions from the 12th to the 20th.

Accordingly, Gangwon Province and the Gangwon Tourism Foundation held a simple welcoming event on the 12th at Yangyang International Airport to promote the ‘2025-2026 Visit Gangwon Year’ for about 60 group tourists on the first spring charter flight.
The group tourists will travel Gangwon Province on a 2-night, 3-day itinerary, visiting Jeongseon High1 Wellness Experience, Arirang Singing Experience, Chuncheon Nami Island, Gangneung BTS Bus Stop, and spring flower spots. The itinerary is designed to enjoy the spring of Gangwon, where Hallyu content and natural scenery harmonize.
Kim Seong-rim, Director of the Gangwon Tourism Bureau, said, “We hope that the Filipino group tourists entering through Yangyang International Airport will enjoy the spring of Gangwon Province,” and added, “We will actively develop Hallyu and experiential content reflecting tourism trends preferred by families, couples, and the MZ generation to attract foreign tourists.”
