Delivered Through the Korean Red Cross
Ajou Group announced on the 14th that it donated 100 million KRW to aid in the recovery from the large-scale wildfires in the Yeongnam region.
This donation will be used through the Korean Red Cross to support the restoration of wildfire-affected areas and provide relief supplies to help disaster victims return to their daily lives.
Moon Kyu-young, Chairman of Ajou Group, said, "We extend our deepest condolences to those suffering from the wildfire damage in the Yeongnam region," adding, "We hope that the affected individuals and communities will recover quickly and return to their normal daily lives as soon as possible."
Meanwhile, Ajou Group previously provided approximately 336 million KRW in relief donations to Turkey and Syria, which suffered significant damage from the 2023 earthquake. Additionally, the group has extended warm support to domestic and international areas in need, including the 2008 Sichuan earthquake in China, the 2008 Myanmar cyclone, the 2011 Japan earthquake, the 2013 Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines, and the 2014 Sewol ferry disaster.
