Myohyeonrye is a ritual in the Joseon Dynasty where the queen or crown princess, after their wedding, paid respects at Jongmyo, where the spirit tablets of past kings and queens are enshrined. It is the only Jongmyo ritual in which women participated, giving it special significance.

This event will highlight Queen Inwon, the third queen of King Sukjong. A creative musical based on the 1703 Myohyeonrye will be presented. The ritual scene will be reenacted to convey the deep affection between Queen Inwon and her father, Kim Jushin.

The performances will take place at Yeongnyeongjeon from the 26th to the 30th, twice daily at 1 PM and 4 PM. 'Intelligent glasses' providing Korean and English subtitles will be available, allowing people with hearing impairments and foreigners to enjoy the show. Each performance can accommodate 350 viewers. Two hundred tickets will be available through online advance reservation, and 150 tickets will be allocated for on-site registration. Reservations open on the 15th at 2 PM via Ticketlink.
