Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 13th that it will recruit preliminary tenants for the first GH (Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation) purchase rental housing in 2025 from the 14th to the 18th.
Purchase rental housing refers to public rental housing that GH acquires by purchasing multi-family and multi-household houses, then renovates and supplies them at prices lower than market rates. In this recruitment, 45 preliminary households of one person or less will be supplied with housing under 50㎡ of exclusive area, and 85 preliminary households of 2 to 4 persons will be supplied with housing between 50㎡ and 85㎡ of exclusive area.
Eligibility requires being a household member without a home registered in Uijeongbu City as of March 31, 2025.
Priority 1 applicants must be ▲ recipients of livelihood or medical benefits ▲ single-parent families eligible for support ▲ low-income groups with rent expenses exceeding 30% of income (including recipients of housing and education benefits) ▲ disabled persons with a monthly average income of 70% or less of the previous year's urban worker household income ▲ low-income groups aged 65 or older (born before March 31, 1960).
Priority 2 applicants must be ▲ households with a monthly average income of 50% or less of the previous year's urban worker household income ▲ disabled persons with a monthly average income of 100% or less of the previous year's urban worker household income.
The rental period is 2 years, and residents can live for up to 20 years through 9 renewals if eligibility is maintained. For more details, visit the city hall website or contact the Housing Division.
