UPC Co., Ltd. Donates 10,000 Protective Suits... "Please Deliver to Wildfire Volunteers"

Gyeongbuk Province announced on the 13th that UPC Co., Ltd. has donated 10,000 protective suits to volunteer centers in five cities and counties in Gyeongbuk that are struggling due to recent wildfires.


UPC plans to deliver a total of 10,000 suits, worth about 40 million KRW, with 2,000 suits each to Yeongyang-gun on the 11th, and Andong-si, Uiseong-gun, Cheongsong-gun, and Yeongdeok-gun on the 15th. Each city and county volunteer center will distribute the donated protective suits to volunteers to support their active participation in wildfire recovery efforts.

The donated protective suits are made from breathable PE film produced by UPC, designed to ensure the safety of volunteers by effectively blocking heat and moisture with both high breathability and non-breathability features.


Hwang Changyeon, CEO of UPC, stated, "This donation of protective suits was an opportunity for UPC to fulfill its social responsibility and provide tangible help to areas affected by wildfires," adding, "UPC will continue to carry out various social contribution activities for the safety and welfare of the local community."


Kim Hak-hong, Vice Governor for Administrative Affairs, said, "It is very meaningful that UPC Co., Ltd. is donating protective suits to wildfire-affected areas," and added, "Through this donation, we will support volunteers to carry out wildfire recovery activities more safely and actively assist the entire affected community in overcoming difficulties and achieving recovery."
