Recruiting 40 Businesses Until the 30th
Gwangsan-gu in Gwangju is launching a support project to improve the hygiene environment of outdated restaurant kitchens. Gwangsan-gu announced on the 11th that it will implement the "Outdated Kitchen Hygiene Environment Improvement Project" to promote a safe and healthy dining culture and support small business owners, and is recruiting participating businesses until the 30th.
The project targets 40 general and rest restaurants, as well as bakeries, that have been operating in Gwangsan-gu for more than six months. Each business can receive up to 750,000 KRW in support for kitchen cleaning costs. The support is limited to facilities directly related to kitchen hygiene, such as ventilation systems, stoves, and refrigerators.
Applications can be submitted in person at the Gwangsan-gu Food Hygiene Division, or via mail or email. Detailed information can be found in the "Notices/Announcements" section of the Gwangsan-gu official website.
An official from the district said, "Through this project, we hope to provide a safe dining environment for citizens and economic support for small business owners, thereby contributing to the vitality of local livelihoods."
